What is YDKJ Party?

YDKJParty-01

TWO WAYS TO PLAY:

  1. On your TV – connect your iPhone or iPad to your Apple TV via Airplay. Then use your iPhones or iPads as controllers.*
  2. On your iPad or iPhone – use your device as the screen that everyone watches, while using (different) iPhones or iPads as controllers.*

* Download the JackPad app separately to use your iPhone or iPad as a controller. For single-player games, you can play on your Apple TV and use your device as the controller, without the JackPad app.

That’s right, “the greatest quiz-show game ever made” according to The Onion’s A.V. Club can now be played as it was meant to be played: with friends, on your couch, with several pizzas, and beverages scattered about, and a rabbit that snuck in, and some work-release prisoners in the audience, with soothing jazz playing in the background, and the scent of vanilla coriander cinnamon candles in the air, while everyone wears those inflatable sumo wrestler costumes. Or… however you like to party. That’s just a suggestion.

YOU DON’T KNOW JACK Party highlights:

  • Play with 1-4 players!
  • Airplay the game to your TV!
  • Use your iPhones and iPads as wireless controllers!
  • Screw Your Neighbors and force them to answer! That’s right – the Screw is back.
  • Multiple-Choice Questions, DisOrDats, and mind-spinning Jack Attacks!
  • Specialty questions like Who’s the Dummy?, Funky Trash, and Cookie’s Fortune Cookie Fortunes with Cookie “Fortune Cookie” Masterson!

It’s the comedy trivia game where HIGH CULTURE and POP CULTURE collide. Covering everything from spaghetti to Yeti, from the Tooth Fairy to the Staten Island ferry, and from sharks to sharts, YOU DON’T KNOW JACK is the only trivia game that makes you laugh and think at the same time. And sometimes vomit a little.

So grab some friends, or friend, or imaginary friend, and play YOU DON’T KNOW JACK Party today. Unless you don’t have an iPad, iPhone, or TV. In which case, we suggest backgammon with your cat.

(P.S. If you don’t have an Apple TV but you do have the Apple Digital AV Adapter, that will work too!)

UPDATE: The release of iOS 9 has caused some compatibility problems and we have removed YDKJ Party from the App Store. We have no timetable for a fix but hope to have it remedied at some point in the future, very sorry for the problem. For those who purchased episode packs, you can ask for a refund via iTunes support

Does it have all the questions and Jack Packs from the 2011 console version or are there completely new questions?

YDKJ Party is all new content covering 30 episodes. It contains 20 new episodes that were released for the OUYA version (summer 2013) and 10 additional new episodes.

Couldn't figure out how to buy more episodes on ipad. Was pretty bummed as I've been waiting ages to get people together to play it.

While on the episode picker, scroll to the pack of content you want to purchase and press Y and enter your Apple log in credentials on the device that is navigating the menus. Please let me know if you need further help

It's working now connecting my phone to my ipad and not using Apple TV. I swear the other episodes did not show up last night though, just episode 1 listed over and over again.

This has not been streaming correctly to Apple TV for months, with no updates to the app.

I asked iTunes support for a refund for my full episode pack purchase, and they denied my request.  I can't run the game anymore due to being on iOS 9.  Any other suggested ways to get a refund?

Just signed up to let you guys know I remember playing YDKJ in 1995/6 in my college dorm room with friends(still have the disk, though I haven't had a mac old enough to play it for some time).   Then I got the version for the Wii, played with my wife and kids, but the Wii no longer works...      So we've bought a new Apple TV 4 to replace the wii, started looking around to see if I could play YDKJ, but I found this thread, very sad.    SO I really hope you guys are working on a fix!   or better yet a new version for the Apple TV 4!  The iPhone/iPod controller app is such a cool idea, and everyone in the house that is old enough to play has one so I hope that feature sticks around!

I'm wondering if I purchase the Xbox One subscription, can I port that over to other consoles / platforms?  For example, my xbox is upstairs and I bought the xbox version, and my computer is downstairs, can I play using the PC version?  In other words, does my purchase work across platforms, or just for the single platform I bought.

Unfortunately there is no way for us to transfer or share a game license between platforms. If you want to play on additional platforms outside of your original purchase, you will have to re-purchase the game. Sorry, but our hands are tied on that policy

    Thanks for supporting our games
